Returns
I take great honor in the integrity and craftsmanship of my work as a metalsmith, and I hope that those who are called to purchase pieces are as smitten with them as I am!
Unfortunately, I do not take returns on jewelry. For this reason, please read thru the entirety of the description - all pieces list the exact weight(s), dimensions, chain length, ear wire gauge, wrist size, ring size, detailed photographs, and metal(s) used ect.
If you need any more clarification before purchase, please contact me and I will answer your questions and/or send additional photographs. I'm invested in helping achieve a positive purchasing experience!
if the integrity of a piece arrives, or becomes, compromised, and is in need of repair, please read the FAQ section on repairs//replacements
All Jewelry sales are final.
Repairs//Replacements
I stand by my work & craftsmanship. I am always available to remedy structural issues.
(Please read the Jewelry Care section to learn how to protect & maintain the quality of your purchased piece.)
If your piece arrives and you note faulty work please e-mail me within 48hrs of receiving with a description of the issue and photos. I will give instructions for return//repair, and will prioritize the repair in my work schedule.
If your piece arrives and the package and piece is damaged, please e-mail me within 48hrs of receiving with a description of the issue and photos. I will give instructions for return//repair.
if you ever have an "accident' and your jewelry gets busted (i've been there!) or needs a shine, I'm happy to bring it back to life. Email me with a description and photos and I will quote you a repair price and turn around time.
If you straight up loose a component (an earring, for example) I may or may not be able to recreate it. The majority of my work is OOAK, and further, cast botanicals are seasonal and not guaranteed available, as are cast oddities such as crabs. For this reason the end result will vary. Stamped components may yield a greater similarity to the original, but will always reflect the difference of a handmade replica. Email me and I will quote you on a replacement price and turn around time.
** I do not take repairs of items i have not made**
Jewelry Care
Your treasured jewelry is made to last indefinitely!
...and it will, with a few guidelines and protocols.
lets go over them:
- firstly, if your piece incorporates a glass cabochon (aka "stone") with organic material set underneath, it is imperative that you not submerge underwater, or expose to contact with liquids or prolonged sunlight. this is due to the chance of the organic material fading, becoming damaged, or water logged. because the organic material is OOAK and hand collected, i may not be able to source a replacement for your piece. i understand things happen, feel free to reach out to inquire of repair, but i cannot guarantee resolution.
- remove jewelry while washing hands, doin dishes, swimming, exercising, working with clay and other sticky or harsh materials, ect. remove when applying body oil or lotion. keep away from acidic things (like vinegar), chemicals, spray adhesive, hairspray, varnish, ect.
- jewelry will tarnish over time, and is more vulnerable in humid, moist, and wet environments. to minimize tarnish, store jewelry in a box or cloth with an anti-tarnish tab, and out of the bathroom
- polish your jewelry with a polishing cloth meant for jewelry. never use chemical jewelry cleaner
Materials//Sourcing
i work primarily with sterling silver (.925), some fine silver (.999), and occasionally brass, bronze and copper.
I currently purchase all my metals from Rio Grande which is certified by the Responsible Jewelry Council (RIC)
in time i aim to incorporate recycled silver into my work.
all ear-wire and posts are made from sterling silver (.925)
typically all my jewelry has a makers mark as well as .925 stamp signifier for it being made from sterling silver
most all of the stones and crystals used are sourced from New Stone Age Cabochons - an incredible small business founded by rose and her late husband graeme. please visit the link to learn about their sourcing principles.
Customs
yes! I take customs. It is deeply fulfilling to collaborate on enchanted adornment that takes on meaning and story. i have found jewelry a powerful conduit for harnessing intentions, honoring thresholds in life, and as touch stones to the animate everything. There is a reason why humans have decked themselves out for all of humanity, and i believe the origin lies in honoring life!
Please navigate to the Commissions//Metal Spells page to fill out my customs form and begin the metal alchemy!
**note, i am an artist with my own unique style and vision. while i look forward to collaboration, i will not copy other artist work, or grossly abandon my aesthetic. please keep this in mind when reaching out. **
